The 37-year-old Portuguese striker doesn't like being asked the same question. He said that he would make the decision about his career in the national team on his own.

Manchester United player Cristiano Ronaldo said at a press conference that he would make his own decision to continue his career in the Portugal national team, ESPN reports.

“They start asking me the same question. The question of my future will be decided by me and no one else. If I want to keep playing, I will play. I will decide everything myself, period, ”the 37-year-old Ronaldo answered the question of whether the 2022 World Cup will be the last in his career if the Portuguese are selected there.

With 185 caps and 115 goals for Portugal, Ronaldo holds the record for both. With the national team, he won gold (2016), silver (2004) and bronze (2012) European championships.

The World Cup in Qatar could be the fifth in Ronaldo's career. According to this indicator, he can repeat the record of Antonio Carbajal, Rafael Marquez and Lothar Matheus.
