Manchester United have announced the appointment of Erik ten Hag as manager of the team. This was reported on the club's website.
The contract with a specialist from the Netherlands was signed until June 2025 with the possibility of an extension for another year.
The sports director of the club, John Murtaugh, commenting on the appointment of ten Hag, said that over the past four years, the specialist, working at Ajax, has established himself as one of the brightest and most successful coaches in Europe.
"We wish Eric the best of luck as he is focused on finishing the season successfully at Ajax and look forward to welcoming him to Manchester United this summer," Murtaugh added.
Erik ten Hag has commented on his appointment as Manchester United manager.

Ten Hag, 52, will join Manchester United at the end of the 2021/22 season. He will join the team after receiving a work visa. The contract with the specialist runs until the end of June 2025 with an option to extend for another year. Until the end of this season, ten Hag will coach Ajax, which he has been in charge of since 2017.
