Max Holloway and Alexander Volkanovski trilogy scheduled for July

UFC Featherweight Champion Alexander Volkanovskiand ex-champion in this division Max Hollowayplan to hold a third fight between themselves in July this year. This is reported by a well-known insider in the world of mixed martial arts Ariel Helwani.

Volkanovski and Halloway are in the final stages of trilogy talks. Their third fight could either take place on July 2nd at UFC 276 or July 30th at UFC 277,” Helwani said.

Recall that two previous fights were won by Volkanovski in 2019 and 2020, respectively. In both confrontations, Volkanovski won by decision over the entire 5-round distance of the fight.


Robbie Lawler vs. Brian Barbarena at UFC 276 

The 8 Fight of the Night winners will face each other in a cage on July 2nd.

A potential explosion at a fireworks factory could fill up UFC 276 - according to MMAJunkie sources, super-spectacular grunts  Robbie Lawler and Brian Barbarena will fight at the tournament.

The tournament will take place on July 2 in Vegas, headlined by a middleweight title fight of Adesanya vs. Cannonier and hype welterweight match Chimaev vs. Diaz (both have not yet been officially confirmed).

Lawler (29-15, 1 NC) snapped a four-fight losing streak in September by beating an out-of-shape Nick Diaz to the bout in the middle of the third round. Before that, the former UFC welterweight champion lost to dos Anjos, Askren, Covington and Magni.

Barbarena (17-8) fought Matt Brown like hell in March, winning by a thin split. He is now on a winstreak of 2 wins in a row - previously Brian defeated Darian Wicks on points.
